my yeast

Galatians 5:9
A little  yeast works through the whole batch of dough. I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be.

Yeast grows the dough. Yeast grows and changes whatever it contacts, silently, slowly from the inside out. Completely changing its original form. A small ingredient or thing can effect our whole lives, good or bad. Jesus can be the yeast in our life making us a holy batch of dough. He can grow and transform us. Evil can also act like yeast in our lives infecting everything it encounters, but if we have Jesus, he is stronger!! He can transform us and use us for good.

Matthew 13:33 
He told them still another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough."

Most of the time yeast represents evil when they talk about it in the bible but in this verse it symbolizes growth in a good way. Yeast is just one small portion of a whole recipe, but without it you won't have a loaf of bread. Jesus one new thing to add to your life, but he changes it completely. The kingdom of heaven is the same way just grows and grows the more people it encounters, like yeast.

John 6:46-51
No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your forefathers ate manna in the desert, yet they died. But here is the bread that comes down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Jesus calls himself the bread of life. His bread does what no other bread can do. It brings spiritual life and kills spiritual death. He will always be our nourishment. Don't just taste his bread, continually eat it so we can have life in him and him in us!!!!

Just like Jesus can change your life, we can do that to others by leading them to him and showing them him through us.

prayer:
You are the bread of life. I need you every day Jesus, more than I need food. Heal, take away anything that could effect me from being like you. You are whole and help us to be more like you.
